We used to call the Jesus sandals. <br /><br />I've long maintained that school uniforms have gone beyond their original purposes (unifying and equalising through economical clothing) to yet another vehicle for school fund raising. We haven't had to buy into that merry go round as our lot go to schools with no uniform. So much cheaper and a lot easier than you'd expect.
